Welcome to the YUTES Photo Album First Congregational Church of Cheshire http://www.YUTES.org
The Stepping Stones (a.k.a. our 5th and 6th graders) youth group collected 3210 bars of soap to help fight Cholera and support the people of disaster stricken Haiti. The soap is making it's way to Haiti via the Haitian Health Foundation (www.haitianhealthfoundation.org)
The Yutes spent July 11th - 18th in Mifflinburg, PA helping those in need.
The 30 Hour Famine is a World Vision charity program that allows young people to make a significant impact on the problem of world hunger while growing closer to God and to each other. By going without food for 30 hours, we raised funds and gained an understanding of how it feels to experience hunger. We constructed makeshift cardboard shelters on Saturday afternoon. The youth along with adult supervision slept out in their cardboard shelters on Saturday night. During our famine we collected cans of food to donated them to local food banks.
